About the role
Job Duties:
Frequently meet and communicate with the Project Coordinator and provide feedback on field activities
Review, coach and mentor safety watch, spark watch and air watch workers on job specific procedures and customer requirements
Assist and coach workers on tasks such as setting up for Breathing Air, Spark Watch, CSE Attendant and Area Watch
Participate in daily safety meetings and ensure topics discussed are relevant to the turnaround activities
Review Hazard IDs and ensure that all corrective actions are implemented when applicable
Distribute all information related to the Hazard ID/Near Miss to on-site Advisor or Project Coordinator
Appropriately allocate resources to jobs based on their known competencies and capabilities to perform scopes
Complete evaluations and competency assessments on safety watch, spark watch and air watch personnel that report to you
Ensure all Bravo Target Safety site equipment is inspected and maintained. Report any deficiencies found to the on-site Advisor/Project Coordinator utilizing the correct reporting process and forms
1 year experience in a leadership role supervising Safety Watch, Air Watch, or Spark Watch personnel
3 years experience in oil and gas sector or Safety services
Knowledge of authoritative standards including NIOSH, NFPA, CSA and Canadian Provincial Health & Safety legislation
Knowledge of TDG and Transport Canada regulations
Valid H2S Alive Certification
Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level A or C
Successfully complete drug and alcohol screening
Experience operating standard vehicles and towing trailers
Driver’s license with clean abstract
MUST pass language comprehension testing
