About The Role
The Senior Business Analyst, Finance Excellence at Purolator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s financial systems and processes related to contract, revenue, and integration management. Acting as a subject matter expert, this individual will provide critical insights and recommendations to IT teams and business stakeholders to optimize system functionalities within SAP and legacy platforms. The role involves overseeing all testing activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage of system implementations, and supporting stabilization efforts post-deployment. The Senior Business Analyst will also lead process improvement initiatives, facilitate training, and contribute to the ongoing transformation of finance operations through Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies. This position requires an independent, analytical thinker capable of managing multiple priorities, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency, and delivering actionable insights to enhance overall financial performance.
Qualifications
Equivalent to University Graduation in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field Recognized diploma or certification in Business/System Analytics or Testing Analytics Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, finance, or systems testing Experience testing SAP S/4 HANA and BRIM, specifically Convergent Charging, is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, including complex formulas and pivot tables Knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA) and co-pilot agents for automation Strong understanding of process structuring, controls, and monitoring systems Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to multi-task, analyze data from multiple sources, and resolve problems independently Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory
Responsibilities
Support the long-term ERP roadmap focusing on transforming contract, revenue, and integration management processes Assist in defining detailed scope and business requirements for system enhancements Lead all testing activities including developing business requirements, reviewing functional documents, and creating test scripts Execute testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and document results Identify, report, and prioritize defects, conducting regression testing for fixes and updates Provide incident management support to business functions related to contract, revenue, and integration management Regularly review processes to implement controls, identify gaps, and suggest improvements Develop training materials and facilitate workshops on new ERP functionalities in collaboration with Learning & Development teams Support technical skill development within the team and lead continuous improvement initiatives Review rating errors, manage error handling processes, and monitor process effectiveness Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements Contribute to the development of monitoring criteria and systems to ensure ongoing system integrity
