FG Deli Group is looking for a skilled and motivated 4th Class Power Engineer / Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our facility, utilities, refrigeration systems, and production equipment operating at peak performance while helping us maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality, and workplace safety. WHAT YOU'LL DO MAINTAIN CRITICAL PLANT UTILITIES & EQUIPMENT * Monitor and operate refrigeration, steam, and boiler systems, including start-up and shut-down procedures. * Inspect and monitor pressures, temperatures, and operating conditions of plant utilities. * Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild pumps, compressors, motors, mechanical seals, and related equipment. * Complete preventive maintenance programs and work orders to minimize downtime and maintain reliability. * Support heating, hot water, compressed air, sprinkler, and utility systems throughout the facility. * Ensure compliance with BC regulations related to pressure vessels and refrigeration systems. SUPPORT WASTE WATER OPERATIONS * Monitor and maintain the waste water treatment system to ensure optimal performance. * Track, analyze, and maintain operational records. * Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reduce operating costs and environmental fees. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate * Previous ammonia refrigeration experience * Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair skills * Experience working with pumps, compressors, motors, boilers, and utility systems * Understanding of preventive maintenance programs * Ability to identify problems, determine root causes, and implement solutions ADDITIONAL ASSETS * Experience in food manufacturing or industrial environments * Knowledge of waste water management systems * Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and food safety standards * Experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (approximately 2°C) * Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and physical activity * Ability to perform repetitive hand movements * Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and keyboard-based systems Interested?
