Position Overview: Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, the Talent Acquisition Partner will be a hands-on, full-cycle recruiter with primary responsibility for a portfolio of General Fusion's technical, engineering, and scientific roles, and will provide support for business roles as needed. This role combines recruitment execution with trusted talent partnership, requiring strong technical recruiting acumen and the ability to credibly source and engage candidates for highly specialized, hard-to-fill roles within the fusion energy industry. Working closely with hiring managers, the People & Culture Generalist, and the broader People & Culture team, the Talent Acquisition Partner will help develop effective recruitment strategies, build specialized talent pipelines, and drive recruitment processes from intake through offer. This role will also provide hiring teams with relevant talent market insights and help deliver positive candidate experience while representing General Fusion’s mission and employer brand. This is a senior individual contributor role for an experienced technical recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by the challenge of building a team with the potential to grow into leading General Fusion’s Talent Acquisition function. Responsibilities: * Manage a high-volume, full-cycle recruitment portfolio for General Fusion’s technical, engineering, and scientific roles, balancing a high requisition load from intake through offer. * Act as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers, providing guidance on sourcing strategies, candidate profiles, talent availability, market and compensation insights, interview practices, and hiring decisions. * Partner closely with hiring managers and the P&C team to understand workforce needs, prioritize requisitions, and develop effective recruitment strategies that reflect business urgency and talent market realities. * Proactively source and build pipelines of highly specialized technical talent through direct outreach, networking, talent mapping, job boards, and other sourcing channels. * Screen and assess candidates against role requirements using structured interview practices and assessment tools, and guide hiring teams through an effective and consistent selection process. * Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the ATS and monitor recruitment metrics, including pipeline health, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness, to identify opportunities to improve hiring outcomes. * Leverage and manage external recruitment agencies and sourcing platforms as needed to supplement internal recruitment efforts and support priority or difficult-to-fill searches. * Deliver a positive and consistent candidate and hiring manager experience while representing General Fusion’s mission, culture, and employer brand within the fusion and broader deep-tech talent market. * Coach and mentor junior members of the Talent Acquisition team and contribute to improving recruitment practices as the organization scales. Requirements: * Minimum 8 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with a strong track record of in-house recruiting for technical, engineering, and other highly specialized roles in a fast-paced environment. * Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. * Ability to understand complex requirements and effectively source, engage, and assess candidates for specialized, hard-to-fill roles. * Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent technical requisitions and build specialized talent pipelines, including roles with limited local talent pools. * Strong stakeholder management and talent advisory skills, with the ability to build credibility with technical hiring managers, provide informed recommendations, and drive recruitment processes forward. * Experience leveraging external recruitment agencies, sourcing platforms, and other recruitment partners to support priority and difficult-to-fill searches. * Experience developing or improving structured interview processes, candidate assessment frameworks, and other recruitment best practices * Experience working with and optimizing recruitment workflows in an Applicant Tracking System (HiBob preferred). * Strong recruitment analytics skills, with experience using Talent Acquisition metrics to evaluate performance and improve hiring outcomes. * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach. * Working knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment best practices, and equitable and compliant hiring practices. You may also bring: * Experience recruiting in a high-growth technical environment. * Experience recruiting for highly specialized talent within deep tech, fusion, nuclear, aerospace, advanced engineering, hardware, or a related technical industry. The typical hiring range for this position is 120,000 – $135,000.
