Caring for the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual needs of vulnerable youth in Greater Vancouver.
Youth in Greater Vancouver struggle through many challenges and obstacles. Challenges like unstable home lives, systemic vulnerability, addiction, mental illness, poverty and even a rapidly changing technological landscape make the social, psychological and cognitive challenges of adolescence all the more difficult to navigate. Yet, we see the potential within each young person we meet. We are confident that with enough of the right support, they can overcome all of the challenges that life throws their way. Youth Unlimited has been helping young people discover their potential since 1947. With nine chapters in Greater Vancouver, YU provides caring relationships and developmental opportunities for vulnerable youth through relevant programs and individual connections, aimed at fostering mental, physical, social, spiritual and emotional well-being among young people in the community.

Build meaningful relationships with youth, families, and neighbours through school support, neighbourhood outreach, mobile drop-in activities, mentoring, and day trips. Help youth explore faith and develop student leaders while collaborating with volunteers, schools, churches, and community agencies, and building a team of ministry partners to support the work.

Lead the vision, strategic planning, and operations of the Elevation Project, including the partnership with YFC Rwanda, the sponsorship program, and the youth leadership development experience. Manage program finances and partnerships, build relationships with staff, churches, sponsors, and participants, and coordinate related activities and travel.

Coordinate sponsorship program data and communications, and support planning, strategy, and promotion for the Elevation Project. Provide logistical support for trip teams, manage social media, develop sponsorships, and collaborate with YFC Rwanda and other ministry partners.

Provide mentorship, crisis support, life-skills programming, and safe, welcoming spaces for youth in Mission, including at community partner locations. Support daily program operations and management through volunteer coordination, administrative work, budgeting, and collaboration with staff and community partners.

Provide administrative support to a team of youth workers, including volunteer management, grant applications, event planning, and budgeting. Build partnerships with churches, schools, and community agencies, and develop a team of ministry partners to provide prayer and financial support for the role and its expenses.

Support and mentor vulnerable youth through school-based activities, clubs, outings, one-to-one relationships, and opportunities to learn about Jesus. Build volunteer and ministry partner teams, and develop partnerships with churches, schools, and community agencies while raising funds for salary and ministry expenses.
