The organization breaks through data-centric obstacles to operationalize and scale both established software and emerging technology platforms. Their solutions are grounded in end-user needs, technological feasibility, and real opportunities across defence and civilian markets. The company is seeking highly motivated team members who want to do their best work shaping its core product in a respectful, hybrid/remote-friendly culture that supports healthy work/life balance. Comprehensive health benefits, Group RRSP/TFSA/DPSP programs, field pay for extensive travel, and competitive compensation are offered. Your New Role The Frontend Developer will work in a hybrid environment, combining remote work with occasional in-person collaboration. The role will build modern, data-driven web applications, working on a component-based frontend that integrates with backend services and handles real-time data, contributing features end-to-end; from design collaboration through implementation and testing. The role focuses on modern JavaScript and TypeScript development, Angular or comparable frameworks, data-driven interfaces, real-time applications, and integration with backend services. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain features in our frontend application using a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework. Translate designs into polished, pixel-accurate UI, catching inconsistencies in spacing, alignment, and visual hierarchy before they ship. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and define clear data contracts. Debug and resolve frontend state management and UI bugs. Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning. Help improve frontend tooling, dev environment setup, and build processes. Work within a containerized development environment alongside other services. Contribute to reusable UI architecture, component libraries, and test automation. What You'll Need to Succeed Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience developing modern JavaScript and TypeScript applications. Experience with Angular or comparable front-end frameworks. Experience building data-driven user interfaces and dashboard-style applications. Experience integrating front-end applications with backend services and APIs. Experience working with real-time applications and live data environments is highly desirable. Experience & Technical Requirements Minimum 3 years of professional front-end software development experience. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Typescript. Working knowledge of the Angular framework, or other front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, etc. Solid understanding of Git and version control workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews). Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (eg, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, deployment automation). A sharp eye for detail and design - you notice when something's a few pixels off and care about getting the small things right. Strong grasp of client-side state management patterns and judgment about when to reach for local vs shared/global state. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-moving team. Eager to learn, take on new challenges, and fill operational and technical gaps as the team grows. Professional work ethic with strong self-discipline, reliability, and time management especially in a hybrid work environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with component libraries (eg, shadcn, Material, etc). Background working on complex and mission-driven products in a startup environment. In-depth understanding of UI/UX design principles. WebSocket/real-time application experience. Video/streaming UI experience. Experience with responsive interfaces for rugged/mobile/edge devices. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while providing high-value contributions. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to uplift team capabilities through expertise and mentorship. What You'll Get in Return You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. The organization offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, retirement savings programs, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to contribute to mission-critical software solutions within the Aerospace and Defence sector.
