Job Title: Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Duration: Contract Rate: CAD$85-90/hr INC Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Integration Developer to design, build, and support integration solutions between Guidewire PolicyCenter and internal/external systems. The ideal candidate is Guidewire ACE Certified in Cloud Integration, with deep hands-on expertise in Guidewire's integration frameworks, messaging architecture, and cloud-native APIs. This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week onsite at the client's office. --- Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, and support integrations between Guidewire PolicyCenter and third-party/internal systems using Messaging, Plugins, Batch Processes, and Event-based architecture. · Build and maintain REST/SOAP web services and Cloud API integrations within the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP). · Work extensively with Guidewire Cloud Integration Framework, including Event Messages, Message Queues, and Producer/Batch Processes. · Develop and maintain Edge APIs and Cloud Data Access (CDA) for data extraction and downstream reporting. · Configure and extend PolicyCenter data model elements required to support integration touchpoints. · Collaborate with enterprise architects to design integration patterns across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and external vendor systems (rating engines, document management, payment gateways, core data warehouses, etc.). · Implement and support Guidewire Jutro/Digital integrations where applicable. · Participate in cloud migration projects, ensuring integration continuity during on-prem to Guidewire Cloud transitions. · Troubleshoot integration failures, monitor message queues, and resolve production incidents within SLA. · Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support SIT/UAT cycles for integration components. · Document integration specifications, data mapping, and technical design artifacts. · Collaborate with QA, BA, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. · Ensure adherence to Guidewire Cloud best practices, security standards, and performance optimization for integration flows. --- Required Skills & Qualifications · 6–8 years of overall IT experience, with strong focus on Guidewire PolicyCenter integration development. · Mandatory: Guidewire ACE Certification in PolicyCenter Cloud Integration. · Strong hands-on experience with Gosu scripting for integration-related configuration (plugins, batch processes, event messages). · Proven expertise in Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) integration components — Messaging, Event Messages, Batch, REST/SOAP APIs, Edge APIs. · Experience with middleware/ESB tools (MuleSoft, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar) integrated with Guidewire. · Solid understanding of XML, JSON, SQL, Java/J2EE, and web service standards (REST/SOAP, WSDL). · Experience with data mapping, transformation, and ETL concepts in an insurance context. · Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git/SVN, and cloud deployment practices (Azure/AWS/GCP). · Strong understanding of P&C Insurance domain processes (Policy, Billing, Claims lifecycle). · Excellent debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning skills for integration flows. What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires 6–8 years of IT experience focused on Guidewire PolicyCenter integration development and mandatory Guidewire ACE certification in PolicyCenter Cloud Integration. Candidates should have strong Gosu and Guidewire Cloud Platform expertise, experience with middleware and web services, knowledge of P&C insurance processes, and be available to work onsite at least two days per week.
