Project Manager Disaster Restoration experience needed in Ottawa, 70-80K for the right person! Your new company A growing restoration and remediation contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee insurance-related restoration projects across the Ottawa region. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial site assessment through to completion, working directly with clients, property managers, insurers, consultants, and subcontractors. Based on the road rather than behind a desk, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service during some of the most challenging situations clients face. Your new role As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple restoration and remediation projects involving water damage, fire damage, mould remediation, asbestos abatement, sewer backups, and other emergency loss events. You will prepare estimates, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate subcontractors, maintain client relationships, oversee site safety, and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will also be responsible for project documentation, change management, invoicing, and regular reporting on project performance. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have experience managing restoration, remediation, disaster recovery, insurance restoration, or similar projects. You will be comfortable working directly with insurance adjusters, clients, and property managers while coordinating trades and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment. You should bring: 5+ years of restoration, remediation, or disaster recovery project management experience. Strong knowledge of insurance restoration workflows and claims processes. Proficiency with Xactimate estimating software. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships. Strong communication and organizational skills. Valid Ontario driver's licence. IICRC certifications, including WRT and AMRT would be considered a strong asset. Experience with asbestos abatement, hazardous materials, or environmental remediation is an asset. Candidates should have experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships, strong communication and organizational skills, and a valid Ontario driver's licence; IICRC certifications and hazardous-materials experience are assets.
