Treasury Analyst Job Type: Contract Contract Duration: 3 Months Pay Rate: Up to $45/hour Location: Vancouver, BC Your New Company Our client is a well-established mining organization seeking a Treasury Analyst to support critical treasury, cash management, precious metals accounting, and financial operations activities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to key financial processes while gaining exposure to treasury and commodity-related transactions. Your New Role: Manage the daily cash positioning process, including spot FX purchases and account transfer requests to maintain account balances. Update and maintain the metal tracking file based on gold sales and site shipment activity. Review monthly calculations related to streaming settlements. Review and verify refiner invoices, with potential transition of this responsibility to site operations in the future. Provide ongoing support to the Accounting team for daily transactions and account reconciliations. Ensure all corporate metal sales and FX confirmations are properly executed and submitted to banking partners in a timely manner. Prepare and issue transfer letters to refiners to facilitate settlement of spot metal sales. Prepare offshore invoices in support of cash call activities. Enter and maintain transaction data within Axedras. Assist with ad hoc requests related to audits, SOX compliance, and other regulatory requirements. What You'll Need to Succeed: Experience in treasury, cash management or related financial role. Strong understanding of cash positioning, bank transactions, reconciliations, and financial controls. Exposure to foreign exchange transactions and treasury operations. Experience working with commodity, metals, mining, or related financial processes is considered an asset. Proficiency using Excel and financial systems; experience with Axedras is an asset. Experience supporting audit, compliance, or SOX-related initiatives is preferred.
