Job summary

We are an employer of choice – creating meaningful opportunities for Saskatchewan workers. JNE Welding is currently looking for a full-time Project Manager. A JNE Project Manager (PM) ensures project objectives and scope are clarified for the JNE team. The PM is responsible to ensure a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required is understood throughout the organization. They communicate with the project team and stakeholders to manage risks, resolve issues, and ensure that the project stays on track. Position Responsibilities: * Ensure all work performed is in accordance with Company safety guidelines, safe work practices and job procedures. * Ensure compliance with all project site safety requirements. Communicate these requirements to all concerned parties. * Determine scope of work for projects. * Ensure hazard assessments are completed as required. * Act as liaison between customers and JNE Welding. * Coordinate projects between Estimating, Purchasing, Detailing, Shop, and Accounting. * Determine priorities and set schedules for project completion. Monitor and adjust schedules to ensure project critical path is on track. * Coordinate with Estimator to ensure integrity of costing for projects – including labor, materials, scope changes, and subcontractors. * Oversee material purchasing and effective usage of materials. * Oversee completion of job (i.e., material returned to inventory, suppliers, lessons learned, etc.) * Solve technical problems in conjunction with customer and JNE resources as required. * Provide support to Estimators as required. * Identify improvements in production, policy, and procedures within JNE. * Provide detailing / drafting support as required. * Provide accurate job cost and profit projections to accounting and senior management. * Identify cost-saving measures. * Provide accurate and timely invoice information to Accounting for progress and final billing. * Maintain appropriate confidentiality of Company, customer, and supplier information. Knowledge Areas and Experience: * Good operating knowledge of Microsoft Office tools * Experience with various welding and fabrication codes; ASME, API, CWB, etc. * Ability to read drawings and blueprints * Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) * Good organizational skills Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Technologist, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
