About the role
PTW is looking for a full-time Material Handler to join our team in Fort McMurray, AB!
A Day in the Life... .
- Receives work order pre-pull materials list from Planner and coordinates inventory availability with Production and Procurement departments.
- Processes all received shipments to ensure that materials meet purchase order specifications.
- Receives and unloads parts, picks and packages products for fabrication and detail departments.
- Ensure accuracy of received shipments by comparing the quantity and type of goods received to supporting documentation, such as waybills, packing slips, and purchase orders.
- Provides team with complete information on items short shipped, over shipped, or damaged.
- Notifies supervisor of irregularities and when stock reached re-order point.
- Assists in performing cycle counts and physical inventory counts
Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of two year's of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Willing to work overtime as required
- Experience with using and driving a forklift.
- Proficient in identifying materials by dimensions (metric and imperial).
- Experienced with proper rigging and overhead crane use an asset
- Must be reliable and dependable (i.e.: punctual and ready to work).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team.
Other Requirements:
- Must have CSA approved safety boots.
- Forklift & Crane certification is an asset
- WHMIS certification is an asset
- Must be able to manually lift up to 50lbs
