Job Description We are currently searching for a Junior to Intermediate Water Resources Engineer to join our team in our Edmonton office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing water resources projects including, but not limited to, storm water management, wastewater collection, hydraulic structures, flood control, irrigation systems, and river engineering.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and/or supporting model development and analysis of stormwater, sanitary, water distribution and river models.
- Leading and/or supporting the design of stormwater management systems, sanitary and water distribution networks, hydraulic structures, and river engineering projects.
- Completing statistical analysis related to hydrologic and hydrometric data sets.
- Undertaking spatial analysis using GIS datasets.
- Contributing to technical reports, proposals and design briefs which focus on Water Resources but may span multiple disciplines.
- Demonstrating ability to deliver successful projects within a team environment.
Job Requirements
What you will bring:
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resource Management; a post graduate degree in Water Resource Management is desirable.
- Registered, or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGA.
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in water resource planning and design, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Understanding of business development and the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and other consultants.
- Proficiency in 1D, 2D, and 3D numerical modeling using software such as PCSWMM, MIKE+, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), FLOW-3D, OpenFOAM, and ANSYS Fluent etc is considered an asset.
- Experience with GIS software is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
