Under the direction of The Service Manager you will be responsible for all duties of an HVAC Service Technician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a HVAC Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist with ensuring our HVAC units work properly and troubleshoot any HVAC issues..

Onsite testing and repair of Systemair commercial air handling line of units (Changeair, Geniox and Topvex; Including air to air heat pumps with hot gas reheat, hydronic heating and cooling systems

  • Working with a range of products and voltages from 120volts – 600volts
  • Troubleshooting equipment for defective components
  • Recovery and charging of refrigerants
  • Replace defective components as required
  • Use of hand tools and appropriate meters and gauges to ensure design operation
  • Testing of control system and control software
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications
  • Startup and Commissioning reports
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a safe and respectful work environment
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Service Manager

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the HVAC Service Technician Profile or candidates for the position:

  • The ideal candidate will hold a 313A or 313D Certificate
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience is preferred
  • Wiring of electrical components
  • Mechanical, electrical and diagnostics skills
  • Basic computer knowledge – Microsoft Word, Excel and Email
  • Strong work ethic
  • Punctual with good attendance record Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to organize
  • Good team player
  • Self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn new skills and apply them as required
  • Tools and company uniform provided

Job Conditions

Physical Demands:
Extensive travel within North America may be required Minimum of 50% of required time. Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, work with hands above head and climbing ladders. Must be able to lift 75 pounds at a time.

Hours of Operation:
September 1 – July 1

Monday to Thursday 12:30pm-8pm

Friday 7am-12pm

July 1 – August 31

Monday – Thursday 7:00AM – 4:30PM

Friday – 7:00AM – 12:30PM

Work Environment:

  • Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office. Various Locations with company vehicle
  • May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
  • May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS.
  • May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
