Senior IT Specialist (Data Engineer)
Advance your career as a Senior IT Specialist at Viterra. Your strong knowledge of Data Warehousing and Reporting will help move the team forward and deliver business value. What you’ll do
- Document current and future state data landscapes with an emphasis on technology consolidation, automation, and repeatability.
- Devise and implement data, master data and metadata management processes
- Investigates enterprise data requirements where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
- Select, adopt, and adapt appropriate software design methods, tools, and techniques.
- Specify and design large or complex software components. Lead the impact analysis on major design options, make recommendations, assess, and manage associated risks.
- Coordinate and manage planning of the system and/or acceptance tests, including software security testing within a development or integration project or program.
- Take responsibility for integrity of testing and acceptance activities and coordinates the execution of these activities.
- Manage client relationships with respect to testing matters. Identifies process improvements and contributes to corporate testing standards and definition of best practice.
- Lead the development of solution architecture in a specific functional area. Ensure that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood and employed in architecture development.
What you bring to our team
- University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information systems used as well as application programming, database, and system design.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated application of the systems approach to problem-solving.
