Job Description:

The Medicine Treatment Clinic (MTC) provides various clinics including the Adult Diabetes Clinic, Adult Asthma Clinic, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Clinic (COPD), Foot Clinic (Chiropody), Internal Medicine Clinic, Infusion Clinic, Integrated Regional Falls Clinic, Stroke Prevention Clinic, and the Urgent Geriatric Clinic.

As the Patient Service Clerk you will be is responsible for reception, communication and clerical duties of the unit in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies and standards of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.

This role will see the successful candidate have multiple work locations, which include: The Royal Victoria Hospital Main Campus at 201 Georgian Drive Barrie and the RVH Health & Wellness Clinics at the Rizzardo Centre at 7325 Yonge Street Innisfil. The location of work will be assigned based on the shift and needs of clinics.

As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:

• Medical Office Administration Certificate/Diploma or Equivalent Program essential

• Office administration experience in a hospital environment or equivalent

Competencies:

• Computer literacy - Microsoft Office – essential II. Keyboarding skills – 50wpm – essential

• Current experience with Meditech, including registration, EMR, order entry and appointment scheduling an asset

• Current experience in the processing of physicians orders an asset
