Senior Analyst, Asset

position working out of Edmonton, AB

.

 

The Senior Analyst, Asset is a technical expert

with strong business acumen

responsible for

the effective utilization and development of

EPCOR’s

Distribution and Transmission Inc’s (EDTI)

Work and Asset Management systems. This role

works closely with Corporate Information Technology (IT) as well as Business Un

i

t Field and Engineering staff to promote best practices, maintain system integrity, and plan future enhancements.

 

What you’d be responsible for

  • Support and enhance

    EDTI’s Work and Asset Management Systems (Bentley AMP/IVARA),

    including

    end user support and training, promoting best practic

    es, and access management

  • Collaborate with

    corporate

    IT to ensure system integrity, troubleshoot errors, and manage middleware integrations

  • Lead the Management of Change

    p

    rocess facilitating continuous improvement of EDTI’s Work and Asset Management System based on

    business unit

    priorities and industry best practices

  • Work with the Senior Engineer

    ,

    Data Governance and

    P

    lanning to maintain a long-term plan for

    geospatially

    enabled

    Work and Asset Management Systems

    , i

    ncluding preparation of annual budgets and related business cases

  • Collaborate with IT project teams on scope definition, use case development, testing, and implementation

  • Assist EDTI end users with complex data queries, data loaders and system configurations

  • Provide specialize

    d

    asset management support by leading the implementation of new asset classes and related asset management programs in the software; and providing asset data quality assurance through regular data reconciliation and clean-up

  • Work with Operation

    Excellence to implement and sustain effective business processes leveraging EDTI’s

    ystems (Bentley AMP/IVARA).

What’s required to be successful

  • Degree in engineering, science

    ,

    information systems

    or related field

  • 7+ years of experience implementing or supporting ERP, Work and/or Asset Management business applications in an industrial or utility environment

  • Experience or t

    raining in Business Process improvement and/or change management,

    (

    e.g., Six Sigma, PROS

    C

    I

    )

  • Extensive experience in the use of

    computerized

    work and asset management systems, such as Bentley APM (IVARA)

    , Maximo, Oracle EAM

    and the application of GIS in mobile work management

    , e.g., ESRI’s ArcGIS.

  • Hands on data query/reporting experience using SQL, Python and Object-Oriented Languages like C#

  • Experience in information system integration, CIM/Oracle BPEL middleware tools specifically

    is an

    asset

  • Basic knowledge of electrical distribution system components and asset management practices

  • Knowledge of PASS55 / ISO 55000 and advanced asset management practices and techni

    ques

    such as FMEA (Failure Mode

    &

    Effects Analysis)

    is

    an asset

  • Knowledge of the AUC regulatory approval process is an asset
