Organization: TDSB - Community Services Unit
Rate of Pay: $55.00 per hour (non-permanent position)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Up to 12 hours/week (Flexible – days/evenings/weekends)
Job Summary:
The Toronto District School Board – Community Services Unit is seeking a Sector Specific Instructor to facilitate employment-focused, sector-specific training in Logistics and Supply Chain. The program supports newcomers to Canada with technical training and workplace preparation. The ideal candidate will have industry experience and a strong understanding of adult learning strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sector-specific curriculum in Logistics & Supply Chain.
- Provide employment-focused training that includes industry terminology, job roles, communication skills, and Canadian workplace culture.
- Customize training to reflect current industry practices.
- Support learners in gaining the knowledge and skills necessary to access employment or further training in the sector.
- Work collaboratively with employment and language instructors.
- Prepare daily lessons and materials.
- Participate in team meetings and reporting as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in the logistics/supply chain sector.
- Teaching or training experience with adult learners, preferably newcomers.
- TESL certification an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of current employment trends and requirements in the logistics sector.
