About the role

We are looking for two Sales Development Representatives for our SaaS platform, Jambo™ (www.jambo.cloud).

Position Type & Location

This full-time position is fully remote for Candidates who are based in Canada.

Who you are
You like to make a great first impression and have no problem talking to people. As the first touchpoint for potential customers, you’ll assist our team in uncovering which leads are qualified sales opportunities. Using email, phone, and web meetings, you will support our marketing and sales team by following up with people interested in Jambo, helping to answer early questions, and to see if they’re a good fit to take the conversation to the next step. You will also participate in focused outbound campaigns to reach out to prospects, qualify leads, and establish new relationships.

You’re happy to talk to new people! Jambo is used by companies in natural resource development, transportation & infrastructure, construction, and utilities, plus by governments and NGOs around the world, which makes for exciting days in talking to new people from a variety of places.

What you will do

Reporting to the Head of Sales you will work closely with our team to connect with existing prospects and generate new sales leads for Jambo**.**

  • Connect with customers through phone, email, chat, web meeting, etc.
  • Make a great impression with leads.
  • Analyze leads and create lists of potential customers to follow up with.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to support lead generation and qualification activities.
  • Communicate with other Jambo teams to maintain awareness of new features and promotions, including marketing, sales, product, and customer success.
  • Provide feedback and insights from your conversations with leads.

Ideally, you bring

  • Previous experience in sales. If you’ve been a top performer in consultative, inside sales, this is a position for you.
  • Ability to focus and self-start. Every day brings opportunity to do great things on a team that values performance.
  • Ability to collaborate well. Whether working with external customers or internal teams, you must create good relationships and work together well.
  • Excellent communication skills. Knowing how to listen and speak to people to uncover who they are and their needs.
  • Agility and flexibility. Things can move quickly in the software space; the ability to be agile and flexible with a willingness to adapt is a great key to your success.

Desirable Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a role at a software company.
  • Experience with HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Experience in the Stakeholder Engagement & Consultation space.
  • Understanding of cloud-based technology.
