Busy Endoscopy Clinic is looking for a Full-time Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our highly skilled endoscopy team. We are located in Burlington, Ontario specializing in endoscopy and clinical services. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, passionate about preventative care and value the importance of team work. **Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Diploma (required)
Our technicians must hold a valid certification/diploma in Sterilization & Medical Reprocessing Devices.
Job Requirements:
_ ***Certificate/diploma in sterilization techniques (i.e. Sterile Supply Processing/Medical Device Reprocessing)
· General knowledge of sterilization techniques
· Computer proficiency
Job Description:
· Cleaning & reprocessing of a variety of endoscopes and accessories
· Operation of reprocessing equipment, utilizing proper operating procedures in accordance with manufacturer's recommended guidelines for use, including loading & unloading techniques.
· Monitoring of reprocessing units to ensure they are performing at optimal levels.
· Performance of routine checks on reprocessing equipment and high level disinfecting agents; interprets and records results and reports problems to Team Lead or Manager.
· Oversees the care, handling and maintenance of endoscopic equipment.
· Inspects endoscopes & equipment for damage and reports to Manager.
· Documents and tracks endoscope repairs and communicates with Manager.
· Notifies Manager of low supply inventory.
· Complies with all established departmental policies & procedures, including health and safety regulations and requirements.
· Other tasks & duties as assigned
Experience:
· Endoscope reprocessing experience an asset
Work Conditions:

· Repetitive tasks
· Physically demanding (walking, bending, ability to stand for extended periods)
