Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is a member of the patient care team, who, in collaboration with other health care professionals provides shockingly excellent patient care through their technical expertise.

Skills & Abilities

  • Diploma/Degree in Medical Radiation Technology from an accredited educational institution
  • Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, CMRTO with specialization in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRT. (MR)
  • Member of the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS)
  • 3-5 years MRI experience preferred
  • Safety awareness, including MR safety
  • 3 Tesla MRI experience considered an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of cross sectional anatomy
  • Competent in injecting contrast and inserting IVs is required
  • Point of Care Creatinine iStat training an asset
  • Central Venous Access training through SOLs an asset
  • Demonstrated ongoing continuing education
  • Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Analysis / problem assessment
  • Innovative and willing to learn
  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrates individual leadership skills
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35.
