Job Title: Buyer
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time (10-Month Contract)
Location: Windsor, Ontario (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Pay Rate: $31.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
Start Date: August 4, 2025
Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Buyer to support our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Windsor, ON. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented procurement professional with a strong background in manufacturing or GMP environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze daily MRP data for raw material and packaging component requirements
- Manage purchase costs, support production planning, and maintain optimal inventory value
- Issue and maintain purchase orders, including item master input and updates in MRP systems
- Develop competitive sourcing opportunities for materials, equipment, and supplies
- Contribute to strategic supply base development and company initiatives
- Respond to internal and external changes in material demand and availability
- Perform additional purchasing and supply chain support tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or GMP purchasing environment
- Experience with purchasing in both Canada and the U.S.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, results-driven, and able to perform under tight deadlines
- Calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
Additional Information:
- Background check required
- Own vehicle required – occasional travel to Strathroy facility (once per month)
