Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Sample Cutter, you support the sample sewer team in preparing cut goods for sample sewer team. And you assist with sample processes, enabling on time. The role brings together functions from strengthening cross-functional partnerships and team during peak output seasons.
You collaborate with both Sample Making and Cutting teams, Pattern maker and product development team providing consistent support in delivering accurate, quality-controlled cut goods, trims, and die cut to sewing floor.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team:
The sample making team supports the business in creating and evolving asked concepts, prototypes, and samples to product creation and development teams. This team builds strong relationships with cross-functional partners to realize ideas into commercialized successes.
If you were in the Sample Cutter role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Making Marker for sample cutting.
- Handling fabric and operating Auto-cutter to cutting fabric.
- Providing a technical resource of DRM issue during cutting.
- Working with Product Developers and Pattern Maker to ensure Spec and Pattern reflect final product requirement.
- Communicating clearly and effectively once issue arise.
- Preparing trims, Die-cut, laminate sub-assembly.
- Organizing and replenish stock for Die cuts, Trims, Raw materials,
- Performing maintenance task for Cutting equipment according to maintenance schedule.
- Participating in Cutting Room’s continues improvement projects when assigned by Manager
- Maintaining and organizing inventory of Raw materials, trims & die cuts in cutting room to avoid running low stock.
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
- Learn and master marker making skill, especially on Gerber Accumark.
- Learn and master operating Gerber cutting machine and plotter.
- Learn and master of raw materials, trims, and notion knowledge.
Are you our next Sample Cutter?

You have 3 years of Garment Manufacturing factory, has wide knowledge of garment / Clothing cutting experience.

You have proven skills in problem solving, production innovation, and the ability to interpret design and offer alternative solutions.

You have strong technical and computer skills, able to easily learn and navigate various design applications/software.

You have reliable time management skills, and you possess the ability to prioritize completing tasks on time, with the required quality and care
-
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You are comfortable using a computer, Microsoft Excel, read and respond to email.

You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.

You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$52,000 - CAD$65,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
