The opportunity:
The University of Manitoba is looking for an Aurora Finance Customer & Systems Support Representative. This position will be responsible for managing access and security for all levels of users for the University’s financial system, create and update accounting elements used for financial transactions and manage updates to financial authority records. Additionally, the Aurora Finance Customer & Systems Support representative will assist clients with their questions on processes and procedures, help clients to resolve problems and maintains problem logs, evaluate metrics, and documents resolutions.
The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:
- Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institution is required.
- Three years' experience working in a customer service and system support environment is required with proven experience working in a complex environment.
- Knowledge of accounting, system related processes, and working in a higher education environment are assets.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and the advanced features of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) required.
- Strong communication, keyboarding and organizational skills required.
- Experience developing documentation for internal procedures and client instructions is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of staff, students and public in a diplomatic, firm but tactful manner, and maintaining good relations with other University departments is essential.
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and promote change in departments.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service is required.
- Ability to analyze problems, assess user requests and find solutions is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Understanding of accounting procedures and system related processes would be assets.
- Knowledge of University financial systems, processes and policies would be an asset.
