We Are:
At Synopsys, we drive the innovations that shape the way we live and connect. Our technology is central to the Era of Pervasive Intelligence, from self-driving cars to learning machines. We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation.
You Are:
You are a self-motivated and innovative Staff Digital Verification Engineer with deep expertise in digital verification, particularly for High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) or DDR products. You thrive in fast-paced environments, leveraging your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective verification strategies using SystemVerilog/UVM. Your excellent communication abilities enable you to collaborate across diverse teams and mentor junior peers. Adaptable and resilient, you consistently deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines, and your curiosity drives you to continuously learn and contribute to cutting-edge silicon technology.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Verifying ASIC RTL designs at both chip and block levels, ensuring robust functionality and performance
- Defining and tracking comprehensive verification testplans to guarantee thorough coverage and validation
- Designing and developing constrained-random SystemVerilog testbenches using UVM (Universal Verification Methodology)
- Creating and analyzing functional coverage metrics to identify gaps and optimize verification strategies
- Writing SystemVerilog assertions to monitor and enforce design correctness
- Debugging RTL and gate-level simulation failures, identifying root causes, and driving resolutions
- Performing firmware-level debug as required to support system-level integration and testing
- Tracking bugs using software tools such as Jira, maintaining clear documentation and follow-up
- Conducting code coverage analysis to ensure all scenarios are exercised
- Mentoring junior peers and networking with senior personnel to foster knowledge sharing and best practices
The Impact You Will Have:
- Drive the development and delivery of high-performance, low-power silicon IP solutions that power tomorrow’s technology
- Enable customers to achieve faster time-to-market for differentiated products with reduced risk and increased reliability
- Enhance the functionality and performance of prototype test-chips through rigorous, innovative testing approaches
- Support Synopsys’ commitment to continuous innovation and technological advancement in the semiconductor industry
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
- Shape the future of next-generation HBM products, influencing technical direction and industry standards
What You’ll Need:
- BSEE or MSEE with a minimum of 8 years of digital design/verification experience
- Extensive experience writing testcases in SystemVerilog/UVM
- Demonstrated expertise debugging complex testbench and design-related issues
- Strong understanding of digital circuit design and ASIC verification methodologies
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automation and workflow optimization
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:
You will join an experienced mixed-signal design and verification team dedicated to developing next-generation HBM products. Our group is composed of veteran digital and mixed-signal engineers who are passionate about delivering high-end solutions from initial specification through to functional and performance testing on prototype test-chips. We foster a collaborative and dynamic workplace that values continuous learning, mentorship, and professional growth, empowering every team member to make a lasting impact.
Rewards and Benefits:
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
