About the role
A fast-growing, high-end construction company is looking for a Financial Controller who can wear multiple hats and thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you’re a construction accounting pro who’s as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are collaborating with project managers, this might be your perfect fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead all financial operations and provide strategic insight to ownership
- Manage job costing, WIP schedules, holdbacks, and percentage-of-completion accounting
- Develop and maintain accurate budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Oversee A/P, A/R, and payroll, and coordinate with external accountants
- Support project teams with real-time financial data and analysis
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process
- Implement and improve financial systems, policies, and internal controls
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of construction-specific accounting practices
- Strong grasp of job costing, lien holdbacks, and progress billing
- Proficiency in accounting platforms (Quickbooks)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset—this is not a siloed role
- CPA designation is an asset, but not required if experience speaks for itself
Why You’ll Love It Here:
- Be part of a company with big growth plans and a collaborative culture
- Work closely with decision-makers—your insights will drive the business forward
- Dynamic environment with a variety of projects (custom homes, commercial builds, and more)
- Clear opportunity for impact, leadership, and growth
This is more than a financial role—it’s a seat at the table.
If you're ready to bring your construction finance expertise into a company that values initiative, transparency, and teamwork, we want to hear from you.
Apply now with your resume and a short note telling us why you’d be a great fit!
Job Type: Full-time

Benefits:
