Role: Child Care Administrator - Fort St. John
Wage: $20 per hour

Location: Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada
Hours: Monday-Friday, Hours falling between 8am & 5pm
Term: Full Time, Temporary (35-40 hours per week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: September 1st, 2025

About the Program:
YMCA BC is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and YMCA BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Hudson’s Hope, Prince George, Pouce Coupe, Tumbler Ridge and Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.
Responsibilities of this role:
- Assist with key administrative tasks and ensure a positive experience for children and families enrolled in our summer programs
- Ensure the Child Care Team has all necessary information, forms, and documents
- Ensure registration forms are printed for the following week by the deadline set
- Printing and copying of weekly paperwork to be sent out
- Audit registration forms for any missing pieces
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain positive communication with parents, staff, and program partners
- Maintain confidentiality of all information in relation to summer care
Qualifications:
- Must provide three satisfactory references
- Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with clear Vulnerable Sector Search
- Training and/or experience with children and/or youth and families in a group care/ recreational setting is an asset
- As this position may be funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant, preference will be given to applicants who meet the CSJ Grant criteria
Canada Summer Job Criteria:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with the relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. International participants are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents
