JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER
Formwerks Architectural Incorporated (FWA) is seeking a part-time Junior Interior Designer to join our team in Vancouver.
FWA is recognized for the creation of innovative, high-quality urban mixed-use developments, community planning, and both multi-family and single-family residential designs.
We are a quickly growing mid-sized architectural design studio and as such offer the opportunity for junior people to grow within the firm, develop their skills, and eventually run projects. We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Junior Interior Designer.
Experience/Qualifications
- University degree in Interior Design or equivalent Diploma from a recognized institution
- 1-3 years of practical experience in an Interior Design or Architecture firm with a focus on residential work
- Proficient in computer drafting (Vectorworks preferred), SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite, and highly organized in file management
- Exceptional design and graphic abilities with keen attention to detail
- Detail oriented with effective written and verbal communication skills as well as a strong aptitude for teamwork
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously balancing design integrity with project deadlines and budgets
- Develop high quality presentation material, technical drawings, and construction details
- Attend client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and site visits
- Organize and maintain product and material sample library
