Residence Coordinator — Bravelight Youth Services (Fraser Cascades Area)
Bravelight Youth Services provides trauma-informed residential care for youth ages 6–18 in partnership with BC’s Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). We are hiring a Residence Coordinator to oversee one of our homes.
About the Role
The Residence Coordinator is responsible for both day-to-day care and ensuring all administrative and compliance requirements are met. This includes staff supervision, coordinating care plans, and managing detailed paperwork and financial documentation for government reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the home.
- Lead and supervise residential staff, including scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Maintain up-to-date records, including daily logs, incident reports, service plans, and financial reports.
- Monitor and submit receipts, petty cash, and budget tracking reports.
- Coordinate with MCFD, social workers, and care teams.
- Provide direct care to youth as needed.
- Ensure the home remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years related experience, including 1 year of leadership/supervisory work.
- Strong administrative, paperwork, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, documentation systems, and financial reporting.
- Experience in residential care or youth services preferred.
- Diploma in human/social services (or equivalent education & experience).
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
- Clear Criminal Record Check and MCFD HUB checks.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Can balance paperwork and frontline work.
- Understands compliance, accountability, and reporting standards.
- Wants to take on a leadership role in youth care.
$1,000 signing bonus paid after successful completion of probation period.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
