About the role
What’s my role?
As a Support staff member you are responsible for making sure that food quality and plate presentation is up to our standards. You are always helping to make a warm and enjoyable pub experience for our guests; to have a welcoming and friendly energy and provide the highest level of service; meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations by ensuring that the guest has everything that they need before leaving the table such as condiments and cutlery.
Who do I report to?
When on shift you will report to the floor manager or kitchen manager on duty.
Qualification Requirements and Job Function:
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- Work or school equivalent experience in hospitality and customer service
- Ability to multi-task
- Upbeat and personable demeanor
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and ability to carry large trays of food and heavy bus bins up and down multiple flights of stairs
- Following health and safety guidelines as directed by the managers
- General understanding of the restaurant, pub, and hospitality industry
- A good working knowledge of current applicable liquor laws
- Punctual, reliable and professional
- Encourage and uphold a safe work environment while adhering to company policy around bullying and harassment

As often as possible, our produce, meat, poultry and fish come from farms and fisheries guided by principles of sustainability. Bard and Banker's dynamic menu features dishes spanning from classic pub fare favourites, to unique west coast inspirations, and beyond. Sourcing local and sustainable ingredients, and growing our own herbs and microgreens on site, we strive for freshness, quality, and flavour at every turn.
