AltaGas - Joint Venture & Contract Analyst
We’re looking for a Joint Venture & Contract Analyst to join our dynamic Midstream Finance team. This is your chance to be part of a growing operation where your work will directly support critical audits, evolving partnerships, and strategic decision-making.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage internal and external Joint Venture audits, ensuring documentation is complete and responses are timely
- Provide administrative support for Joint Venture partnerships and assist with evolving business needs
- Review and interpret contractual agreements, ensuring compliance across departments
- Prepare and enter accurate accounting entries for midstream assets in line with US GAAP
- Support the monthly invoicing process, including maintaining contract terms in the invoicing system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and report data
- Build strong relationships across departments and act as a strategic partner
- Recommend improvements to audit policies and procedures
- Deliver ad hoc financial and operational analysis as needed
- Develop a strong understanding of the business to effectively explain Joint Venture relationships
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in Joint Venture administartion or operational accounting
- Strong understanding of Joint Venture audits—especially operational audits
- Background in Midstream or energy sector preferred
- Comfortable with Power BI, Excel, and ideally JD Edwards
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and a natural collaborator
- PJVA Joint Venture Administrator Certificate is a plus
