About the role
JOB DESCRIPTION
AAA Canada is looking for an Avionics Technician with experience to join our team. The Technician will support the Vehicle and Avionics engineering team by validating system installation, diagnosing issues, implementing corrections, coordinating repairs, managing test inventory, and collaborating on test platforms and equipment acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Support the Vehicle and Avionics engineering team to validate the installation and proper functioning of the avionics system
- Diagnose design and integration problems, and avionics equipment failures on our simulators and associated systems
- Suggest corrective actions for equipment problems and establish them when approved
- Make minor changes to solve some avionics system problems
- Coordinate the required work to correct the problems found
- Participate in the laboratory material test platforms definition and fitting
- Interact with the material engineering department, responsible for flight simulators
- Manage equipment test inventory and participate in the equipment acquisition process
Skills and qualifications
- College diploma in Avionics Technician
- 8yrs experience, with or without License AME/FAA
- Ability to read schemes and other avionics technical documents
- Knowledge in avionics system and associated terminology
- MRO/Assembly experience
- Ability to use electronic test equipment and user diagnostic software
- Excellent ability to analyze the root causes of a problem while the investigation process
- Ability to work as a team
- Excellent knowledge in MS Office and associated tools
Required experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
