Description:

Our HR Team is looking for a coordinator with a focus on Health & Safety. The ideal candidate will take the lead with health and safety requirements while collaborating with and supporting the HR team in day to day requirements and special project needs.

What you will do:

  • Complete and maintain regulated forms
  • Monitor and promote Return to Work initiatives
  • Collaborate with administrative and field team members
  • Facilitate and attend workplace investigations
  • Attend and plan monthly JHSC meetings
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and any documentation pertaining to HR
  • Assist and provide support with all internal and external inquiries or requests regarding employee relations, health & safety, and benefits. Resolves issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure legal compliance to the Employee Standards Act of Ontario, Ontario Health & Safety, and other regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

Education
Completion of a recognized Human Resources certificate or diploma program

Experience
A minimum of two years human resources experience. Previous experience with workplace Health & Safety initiatives.

Other Skills and Abilities
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format; ability to work independently and as part of a team; competency in keyboarding and Windows software; ability to operate all standard office equipment; commitment to continued learning.
