Under the general direction of the Major Recruitment Lead, responsible to coordinate, manage, produce and present at recruitment
events (virtual and in-person). Will be responsible for the development of recruitment-related strategies and promotional materials
and building strategic relationships with high school, post-secondary education institutions and other employment organizations in
support of diversity and recruitment goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a strategic partner regarding major professional, trades and summer student recruitments to develop, recommend

and coordinate branding and recruitment advertising strategies and provide consultative advice.

  • Coordinate, manage and produce various recruitment events, both in-person and virtual (on various IT platforms). Manage the

Career Influencer program, coordinating attendance of other employees at recruitment events and coaching/preparing them to
speak on recruitment opportunities/processes.

  • Represent the enterprise in recruitment videos for use by Recruiters and for posting on our external website.
  • Support major recruitments by creating, scripting, editing and delivering various recruitment-related presentations and/or

videos.

  • Work with corporate experts and line management to develop candidate personas and inform marketing materials/strategy.
  • Review and analyze recruitment and social media metrics and write summary reports to inform strategy.
  • Build strategic relationships with high schools, post-secondary educational institutions, employment agencies and key

stakeholders throughout Manitoba to promote Manitoba Hydro opportunities.

  • Coordinate recruitment events (e.g., Hand-on Days) and support large scale recruitment events (e.g., Take Your Kids to Work

Day, Summer Student Orientation, etc.).

  • May assist with Enterprise Recruitments as required.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop, implement, and maintain employment and related materials to support and

promote major recruitments.

  • Lead monthly meetings with teams across departments to share knowledge, coordinate on events, and develop strategic

advertising initiatives that align with organizational recruitment goals.

  • Oversee project timelines and deliverables to ensure all actions remain on schedule and operations proceed efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year Business Degree (HR Major or related discipline) from an institute of recognized standing and a minimum of one

year of directly related experience;
OR

  • Two-year related Diploma (HR Major or related discipline) from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of three

years directly related experience.

  • Experience and demonstrated effectiveness in organizing events, both in person and virtual.
  • Must have strong skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Professional and Teams.
  • Previous experience in video editing is considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated initiative, independent judgement and the ability to prioritize work in a high activity environment.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience writing reports and recommendations.
  • Adaptable and flexible in responding to changes in the environment and business requirements.
  • Willing to travel throughout the Province and may be required to use a personal vehicle (expenses provided).
  • Ability to attend recruitment events throughout the province (including in the North) and during evenings and weekends.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy items.

Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $33.06-$45.72 Hourly,
$63,341.72-$87,609.86 Annually.
