Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 6416/6417 Sec 54, “Social Work Field Work Class”. The course will be offered in the Fall/Winter terms, from September 2025-April 2026. Note: this course is part of the MSW program.
The part-time academic position is responsible for guiding a series of seminars, liaising with student field placement agencies for a series of meetings, dealing with any issues that arise within the field placement, overseeing the completion of an academic presentation, and conferring on final grades. The part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations preceding course delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Educational background with extensive experience in social work (or related fields) is required. Solid knowledge of a variety of social work skills and the ability to impart these skills to students. A Master of Social Work degree (or higher) and previous teaching experience is preferred.
Salary Range/Pay Rate
Per CUPE Collective Agreement
