Job Summary
The Tech Lead, Data Engineer will work closely to lead a pod of Data Engineers to build out new and maintain existing ETL pipelines in Airflow, along with building and maintain data API’s. They will be part of our Data Technology team working with an all-new technology stack, working closely in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Tech Lead, Data Engineer, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Lead a pod of Data-Engineers ensuring that milestones are being hit.
- Design, implement and maintain data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
- Build and maintain existing Airflow DAGs
- Prototype new technology that supports our vision of making our consumer’s experiences better with our data
- Provide support and insights to the business analytics and data science teams.
- Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
- Work with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to build out robust and scalable pipelines and APIs

- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Comfortable dealing with stakeholders (both internal and external), project managers to ensure deliverables are met.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar.
- Programming skills with Python, Spark, experience with Apache Iceberg a big plus
- Experience with Airflow or other modern orchestration platform.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, relational database concepts and SQL scripting
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Snowflake, CI/CD
