Reports to: Senior Vice President, Consumer

Are you a bold, strategic communicator with a passion for building brands and shaping reputation in the fast-moving consumer and tech sectors? ChangeMakers is looking for an entrepreneurial Vice President to lead integrated communications programs for high-profile clients across consumer products, retail, lifestyle and emerging technology.

This highly motivated leader will drive creative campaign strategy, media engagement, and influencer activations, while mentoring a team of high-performing consultants. You will play a pivotal role in building our consumer and tech portfolio - counseling senior executives, leading breakthrough campaigns, and driving new business growth.

Responsibilities:

Client Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies for leading consumer and tech brands, grounded in insights, trends, and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior clients on media relations, brand storytelling, issues and crisis management, and executive thought leadership.
  • Navigate high-profile moments—from product launches and category disruption to sensitive brand reputation challenges.

Team & Project Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of consultants, ensuring delivery of high-quality, high-impact work.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture and support professional development across levels.
  • Collaborate with in-house specialists in creative, media, digital, influencer, and data to deliver seamless, multi-platform campaigns.

Business Development

  • Help grow the consumer and tech portfolio through organic growth and new business development.
  • Identify white space opportunities and develop compelling proposals and pitches tailored to brand needs and cultural relevance.
  • Represent ChangeMakers in industry conversations and contribute to thought leadership and agency profile-building.

What You Bring:

  • 15+ years of experience in public relations or strategic communications, with deep experience in consumer and/or tech sectors (agency experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven success managing national and integrated brand campaigns, from strategy to execution
  • Strong expertise in media relations, influencer engagement, crisis/issues management, and executive positioning
  • A deep understanding of digital and social media trends, and how to leverage them to reach modern audiences
  • A growth mindset and entrepreneurial drive - comfortable leading new business pitches and building client relationships
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation, and team leadership skills
