About the role

Contract Client Care, Team Lead

Location: Calgary, AB

The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre, is currently recruiting for a CONTRACT Full-time Supervisor for the Client Care team. This position is being hired for 6 months with the possibility of extension at the end of this term.

The C.A.R.E. Centre is a fully functioning referral hospital, with board certified specialists in a wide range of referral services including: internal medicine, critical care, surgery, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, emergency and dentistry/oral surgery.

The C.A.R.E Centre is committed to supporting pet owners and the veterinary community by providing the highest level of animal emergency and referral care. The successful candidate will support and direct the Client Care team in a professional and kind manner while recognizing the responsibilities involved in responding to client and co-worker questions.

The Client Care Supervisor will also work closely with the hospitals leadership team to promote a positive hospital image and continuously work towards betterment of the hospital. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work efficiently on your own and with the team. Additional duties and responsibilities include;

  • Training and orientation for new team members,
  • Creating an equitable schedule for the team
  • Coordinating vacation coverage
  • Cross training within the hospital departments,
  • Assist in performance management
  • Involvement in patient treatments as necessary to support the ER team and overall hospital support.

Schedule: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position with a schedule that can be flexible to meet your individual needs. Fifty percent of this role will involve working within the reception team as a CCS, and fifty percent will be dedicated to administrative tasks. Our Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but the position does not necessarily require coverage of all shift hours.
