Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, this position cleans and maintains buses, buildings, facilities, and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cleans interior and exterior of Transit vehicles, buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks on civic buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment.
- Fuels and services Transit vehicles, including checking fluids, changing tires, and minor adjustments.
- Performs vehicle changeovers in accordance with established procedures
- Record changeovers and defects electronically via Microsoft Forms.
- Assign runs in accordance with daily track sheets via Transit technological software.
- Operates buses, tow trucks, power mobile equipment, and small trucks, as required.
- Designates or parks vehicles and records locations in accordance with established procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education.
- Successful completion of a relevant mechanical aptitude test.
- Training and/or experience related to fleet maintenance would be an asset.
- Experience in the operation of office equipment including a computer with Windows software and/or Transit technological software.
- Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Must pass the written air brake test within one week after the date of hire and obtain the air brake endorsement within one month after the date of hire.
- Current driver's abstract from SGI demonstrating a safe driving record.
- Possession of a valid class 1A Driver’s Licence would be considered an asset
- Successful and efficient completion of the assigned training in accordance with Transit maintenance procedures and practices.
- Possession of own tools appropriate for the work.
- Knowledge of limitations and safety rules regarding equipment condition.
- Ability to perform the above duties in a safe and efficient manner and according to Department procedures.
- Physical ability to perform the assigned duties.

Additional Requirements
Shift work, weekend and statutory holiday work are involved.
Weekly Hours: 40
Salary Range: to CAD per hour (2025 rates)
