Job Purpose
Responsible for receiving all hotel and guest related products and items through the loading dock and properly storing/locating/securing to the designated areas maintaining tracking records. Assist in accounts payable ensuring all food and beverage invoices and linen invoices are entered into accounting system.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and process deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and receiving reports. Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods. Stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department. Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs. Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy. Receive, store, ship, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail. Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of packages. Maintain accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving guest signatures for received packages. Communicate with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages.
Invoices are to be entered into accounting system. All food invoices, beverage invoices, and linen invoices are to be entered by Receiver. Ensure all purchase orders and packing slips are stapled to invoices. Coordinate with team during month end deadlines. All invoices are to be entered on time within the month of the purchase. Food and Beverage inventory to be conducted monthly with a member in operations.
In conjunction with the Department Heads periodic quality checks on all products received. Ensures process in place for quality checking arriving product, ensure proper storage, dating and labelling of all product, FIFO process is followed and proper rotation of all food products. In conjunction with the Purchasing Manager, manages PAR level inventories on all beverages. Follows and monitors the internal requisition process for all departments and products. Fulfills requisitions for departments for food, beverage, merchandise, etc. Issues banquet liquor as per BEOS. Reviews all BEOS, group resumes, noting any receiving responsibilities or scheduling requirements. Maintains/fills cafeteria pop machine. Maintains/organizes empties Conducts month end inventories. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of dock area, storage areas, fridges and freezers. Know safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.
Requirements
Previous experience within the hotel or conference facility would be an asset
Has working knowledge on the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Move through narrow or confined spaces.
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
