What you will do each day:
- Qualify and manage inbound sales opportunities (website, phone, email, social media).
- Build accurate quotes (products, poles, accessories) in our CRM, ensuring correct system sizing, pricing, lead times, and terms. Support RMA, retrofit, and special‑project pricing.
- Generate detailed specification submittals using our tools and tailor content to our key customer segments.
- Function as the primary point of contact with our external photometric contractor; interpret drawings, request layouts, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Convert approved quotes into clean sales orders in our ERP system and transition them to Supply Chain for fulfillment.
- Identify bottlenecks, propose automation or workflow changes, and document best practices to improve quote turnaround, accuracy, and margin control.
- Support the Sales Team with CRM data entry, workflow, and tasks to improve sales efficiency.
- Liaise daily with the Business Development team and Supply Chain, and occasionally with Finance to resolve pricing, inventory, and specification questions.
- Other duties typical of a quotations and inside-sales-support role in the industry.
Are you the Quotations and Sales Support Specialist we are looking for?
- Sales and Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales support, quotations, or customer support within a manufactured product company, preferably in municipal, construction, lighting, or renewable energy sectors.
- Technical Know-How: Demonstrated technical aptitude, including the ability to interpret drawings and understand electrical or mechanical specifications.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication, active listening skills, and the ability to thrive in a small, cross-functional team.
- Tech-Savvy Approach: Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), and familiarity with ERP, CPQ pricing tools, and proposal generation preferred.
- Driven and Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to quote accuracy, time management, and meeting internal KPIs.
- Growth Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to process improvement and a willingness to master solar-lighting technology.
