Dynamic Earth Science Demonstrator

Are you passionate about discovering and sharing science experiences? Do earth sciences and ‘going underground’ excite you? If so, we would like to hear from you! Science North, Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attraction, is looking for you to join its Dynamic Earth team!
At Dynamic Earth, we bring earth science to life. Our Bluecoats guide visitors through underground tours, host interactive exhibits, deliver live science shows, and lead engaging outdoor programs in the science park. They will work with topic experts to become highly knowledgeable and learn fun and exciting ways to share this knowledge with a range of audiences. If you're enthusiastic about geology, rocks, minerals, and mining — and love sharing knowledge with others — we want to hear from you!
In This Role, You Will:
- Act as a tour guide through our underground experience
- Engage guests with exciting science presentations and live shows
- Host interactive exhibits and facilitate science workshops
- Deliver educational programming across a range of geology and mining topics
What You Bring:
- Excellent verbal communication
- Strong presentation and program delivery skills
- Enjoy public engagement and science interpretation
- A flexible schedule, with availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Interest or background in geology, earth science, or related fields
- Science North provides services in both official languages with some positions requiring fluency in French
