Senior Tax Manager
About the role
Our client, a growing mid-sized public accounting firm, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their Tax Advisory Group . This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated tax professional looking to fast-track their career toward partnership as the firm continues to expand.
You’ll play a lead role in managing client engagements, developing tax planning strategies, guiding teams, and delivering expert advisory services. This position offers exposure to both public and private clients and includes work on complex transactions, reorganizations, and indirect tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client engagements across multiple sectors, delivering timely, high-quality service
- Work closely with partners on strategic tax planning projects
- Review and guide the preparation of complex tax returns
- Conduct tax research and develop planning strategies for corporate clients
- Mentor and support the professional growth of junior staff
- Identify opportunities for process and performance improvement
- Participate in business development and client relationship efforts
- Manage multiple projects effectively and prioritize competing deadlines
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (in good standing)
- Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program or MTax
- Minimum 8 years of relevant post-designation experience in a public accounting firm
- Excellent technical and analytical tax knowledge
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven leadership experience in managing people and client relationships
- Ability to deliver clear, concise, and practical tax advice on complex matters
- A high level of motivation, professionalism, and desire for growth
