ACP full time clinic position up by Conklin, AB.
- 2/2 week rotation, ongoing
- Camp
- Benefits Client charter flights to site from EDM and CAL
The Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) will provide immediate Advanced Life Support medical care when summoned without delay, properly triage, advise and/or arrange for timely transport the health care facility as needed.
Position : Travel coverage provided. 12-hour shifts. 2:2 rotation
Location: Camp located south of Fort McMurray (food & lodging provided)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read, understand and comply with IPS's Medical Control Guidelines, Safety Policies and Job Procedures, as well as all applicable government laws and regulations;
- Work within their applicable job scope of practice determined by their licensing body and under the medical control of the Medical Director, utilizing the IPS Medical Control Guidelines;
- Always act in a manner that ensures the patient's dignity, safety, privacy and confidentiality;
- Ensure that injured workers are provided with immediate and professional on-site medical care and to advise and/or arrange timely transport to additional medical care as needed. Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor
Safety Responsibilities:
- Be familiar with and work in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures;
- Take reasonable care to use safety and personal protective equipment as required by health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures;
- Report to IPS Supervision and Management immediately after any incident or condition believed to be hazardous to worker's health and/or safety; Refuse work if danger is imminent or not controlled.
Requirements
- Current (unrestricted) registration as a Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics
- Valid class 4 driver’s license with clean abstract.
- H2S & CSO
- Previous Paramedic experience
- Previous industrial experience is an asset.
