You as a Sr. Technical Project Manager will:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Technology/IT programs and projects using the EllisDon Technology Project Office (TPO) framework, governance standards, and project management tools.
  • Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables in collaboration with internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Establish appropriate project governance, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide regular reporting on program health and progress
  • Work closely with vendors and Subject Matter Experts to ensure that best practices and value services are provided, and objectives, budgets, and timelines are aligned with project/program requirements
  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and representatives from Digital and Data Engineering to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements.
  • Identify project risks while communicating and escalating them to management and/or stakeholders when required; develop risk mitigation and contingency plans and provide implementation oversight.
  • Monitor project and team metrics, communicate with stakeholders, and provide project status updates.
  • Create and distribute project communications artifacts.
  • Assist in business development efforts, set, and monitor project budgets and staffing requirements, and establish key project criteria metrics.
  • Plan and lead status review meetings, train and manage the project team, and assist in resolving any technical or operational issues as required.
  • Ensure cross-functional teams remain aligned on goals and milestones while removing blockers to delivery.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the TPO’s project delivery methodology by introducing industry best practices and leveraging internal insights.
  • Facilitate risk management, change control, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Balance strategic planning and tactical execution with strong attention to detail.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and lessons learned to improve future delivery outcomes.

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a minimum of 7-10 years’ relevant work experience in a professional environment with cloud, on-premise infrastructure and application implementation.
  • You possess a PMP or CSM certification
  • You have strong people management skills along with solid experience in strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management.
  • You have a solid understanding of Agile, Kanban and waterfall project management methods.
  • You enjoy a talented, inclusive, diverse, and engaged team in a challenging, and fast-paced environment
  • You can dive into big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • You also possess an ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints
  • You have experience in infrastructure projects, ERP enterprise applications, finance and operations, and integrations.
  • You have experience Power Platform Apps is a plus
  • You have experience with AI Projects is a plus
  • You have experience in Technology Transformation projects
  • You have successfully managed large, complex, cross-functional Technology/IT projects in a matrixed environment.
  • You bring experience in business process mapping, operational improvement, or enterprise system implementations.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and can influence without direct authority.
  • You are proficient with tools such as Microsoft Project, MS Planner, Azure DevOps, Jira, and MS SharePoint.
