About the role

The Role

To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.

Implement, adapt and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes across a variety of clinical settings.

Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

What we'll need you to bring

Qualifications And Experience

  • HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
  • Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Full driving licence holder.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Basic assessment skills.
  • Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually, or as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.

This role will be based in ICST Camglen within Rutherglen Primary Care Centre
