About the role

Your Opportunity:

The Centennial Center for Mental Health and Brain Injury is a 325-bed facility that provides care for patients through an interdisciplinary approach. As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for the safety, security and well-being of patients while in the Recreation Facilities area. You will plan, prepare and implement aquatic activities and treatment interventions with other care providers with a commitment to patient and family centered care and customer service. You will also be responsible for overall maintenance of the Recreation Facilities and the equipment within the department. Involved in the therapeutic treatment of all patients utilizing the CCMHBI pool. Nestled in the beautiful Battle River Valley, the Town of Ponoka is a thriving and welcoming community. Description:

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12.

Completion of an accredited Lifeguarding certification.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Holder of a Level 1-Pool Operator's Certificate. Knowledge of pool maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

As Required.
