Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for a Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Application Support Analyst to join our Engineering Department. As part of the Engineering Department, you will be responsible to technical, coordination and administrative functions associated with support and maintenance of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software applications in the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Manager, CADD Systems, you will be responsible for the administration and oversight of CADD data, user access control, and data quality review in collaboration with stakeholders across the TTC. You will also coordinate data exchange with external partners, deliver user training, and develop reports on compliance with CADD standards for management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert on-call support for 3D CADD software and data systems.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize user downtime and enhance productivity.

  • Deliver ongoing assistance to users across departments to ensure optimal software performance.

  • Coordinate 3D data exchange with external stakeholders and consultants.

  • Develop and maintain procedures for secure and efficient data transfers.

  • Review and report on 3D CADD files for compliance with internal standards.

  • Develop, update, and enforce CADD standards for 3D modeling.

  • Maintain documentation including procedure manuals, guidelines, and design standards.

  • Establish workflows and methods to improve data quality and consistency.

  • Conduct on-site training sessions on best practices for using 3D CADD software.

  • Assemble and maintain libraries of Revit families and components.

  • Support users in adopting efficient design workflows and tools.

  • Research industry standards and evaluate emerging 3D software solutions.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve Revit design efficiency.

  • Administer and support Autodesk Revit environments and data structures.

  • Prepare and review technical reports, site memorandums, and recommendations for senior management.

  • Assist and substitute for CADD System Support Analysts and the Manager, CADD System as needed.

What Qualifications Do You Bring

  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Extensive experience as a software administrator for Autodesk Revit, including customization at contract, project, and program levels.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk applications such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and Recap Pro.
  • In-depth understanding of Revit environment architecture, including roles, dependencies, connectivity, and configurations.
  • Experience developing work instructions for 3D CADD software packages
  • Strong knowledge of engineering 3D design workflows and project coordination practices.
  • Proven ability to assess, implement, and coordinate efficiency improvements across teams and projects.
  • Excellent service orientation, sound judgment, and strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with proficiency in documentation and presentation development.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and a demonstrated commitment to continuous technical learning and professional development.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with other 3D or BIM software platforms is an asset; knowledge of client-level application use is also considered beneficial.
  • Understanding of best practices for digital data exchange across 2D and 3D CADD platforms.
