About the role

Description:
As the café supervisor you will assist the manager in running the coffee shop operations in Mountain Outfitters You will lead and motivate a team of individuals whose focus is to ensure that our guests’ expectations are met.

Essential functions:

  • Train, motivate, recognize, and provide feedback to staff.
  • Training staff in proper procedures and policies and maintaining a high standard throughout the season.
  • Responsible for staff adherence to panorama policies and procedures
  • Disciplinary actions as required.
  • Performing daily operational routines and all related procedures (merchandising, restocking, cleanliness, check lists etc.)
  • Preparation and dispensing of a wide variety of food and beverage products, including alcohol, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Continually strive to exceed guests’ expectations
  • Delivery of quality products on a consistent basis
  • Responsible for opening and closing duties related to store operation
  • Ensure clean and safe work environment
  • Maintain accurate guest bills, and be able to explain charges
  • Assist guests with questions and solve problems as they arise
  • Operate a computer pos system and all related procedures
  • Ensure methods of communication are correct and updated regularly.
  • Work within a team atmosphere with other departments and external suppliers to ensure that departmental and corporate goals and objectives are met.
  • Handle difficult customer situations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of panorama facilities, services, and products to provide accurate information

Experience/Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Strong verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent people skills including the ability to resolve customer satisfaction problems
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Understanding of computers and comfortable learning and using new systems
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in B.C.
  • Serving it right certificate
  • Food safe certificate
