About the role
Position Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving strategic growth within the furnace filter segment. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the furnace filter supply chain, ideally with prior experience at a filter manufacturer, distributor, or OEM. You are someone who already speaks the language of the industry, builds trust easily, and knows how to open doors and nurture long-term partnerships
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan focused on furnace filter customers and related markets.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage the full sales cycle.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, and key decision-makers.
- Initiate technical discussions to understand customer needs, including airflow requirements, MERV ratings, and product specifications.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and technical teams to align customer requirements with our product capabilities and production timelines.
- Represent the company professionally at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer visits.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies, and provide strategic insights to leadership.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems, including sales pipeline activity, customer engagement, and forecasting.
- Provide ongoing customer feedback to internal teams to support product development and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of direct experience in the furnace filter or HVAC filter industry (required)
- Proven success in B2B sales, preferably in filtration or building products
- Strong networking skills, with an existing base of industry contacts an asset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative sales mindset
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
