We are growing our Pre-Test Clinical Care Associate team in both NW Calgary and Cochrane, and we’re looking for warm, curious individuals ready to bring the latest in optometric technology to life. You will work hands-on with advanced diagnostic tools that push the boundaries of eye care, while making patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way. Your role is essential in setting the stage for the optometrist, ensuring every detail is captured with accuracy and compassion.

What We Are Looking For:

(Full-time Optometric Assistant role)

You are the diagnostic dynamo, welcoming patients with compassion, guiding them through measurements and equipment with clarity, and turning nerves into comfort with your calming confidence. With precision, speed, and a love for learning, you capture clear, reliable diagnostic data, giving our optometrists the vital insights they need to protect and preserve vision You live for those “wow” moments when patients feel seen, understood, and empowered by the care and education you provide. From teaching contact lens newbies to coordinating orders, recalls, and schedules, you are the go-to guide for all things technical, helping patients see clearly and confidently.

  • Previous optometric experience is a plus, but not required

  • Certified Optometric Assistant designation is an asset

  • Experience with EMR systems or a general love of technology (“technophiles” welcome!)

  • Positive, outgoing attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and a sharp eye for detail

  • Creative thinker with a natural curiosity and problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to build trust and meaningful relationships with patients and teammates

  • Flexible availability (Monday–Saturday)

  • A growth mindset and a willingness to be coached, challenged, and supported

  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service
